Giniling Guisado (Sauted Ground Pork) by Cassie

Hi Loves!

I'm here again for another round of cooking with Cassie. Today I prepared Giniling Guisado (Sauted Ground Pork). Giniling means ground and Guisado means to saute in English. The dish is very simple it consist of ground pork, garlic, onions,  potatoes, carrots, and pineapple chunks. I love making this dish because first it's very easy to make and more importantly it's budget friendly. If there's any left over there is nothing to worry because you can also used it as stuffing on tortang talong (fried eggplant w/ egg) or just put some beaten eggs on the left over and voila you have your own ground pork omelette, No food waste!

P.S. I prefer to buy whole pork then ask the butcher to grind it for me. From there I know that I only use pure ground pork.

Ingredients:

1/2 kl. ground pork
2 pcs.  potatoes cut into cubes
1 pc. carrot cut into cubes
1 medium onion chopped
4-5 cloves of garlic chopped
cooking oil
1/2 cup of water
3 tbsp of soy sauce (you can adjust this depends on your taste)
1 pack of pineapple chunks.

Cooking procedure:

1. Heat oil in medium deep pan, then saute the onion and garlic until light brown.
2. Add the ground pork and cook until light brown in color.
3. Then add the sliced potatoes, carrots and pineapple chunks. Then pour in the soy sauce and water,        Let it simmer for 15 minutes or until the water is nearly dry,
4. Lastly, season the dish with salt and pepper. Adjust the flavor based on your preferred taste.
5. Serve with rice and Enjoy!

So there you go Loves, till our next cooking!

Love,
Cassie
